Sustainability Policy

Dewpoint will endeavour to continuously improve our sustainability performance and conduct our business in a socially responsible manner while reducing the environmental impact of our business, to ensure we are contributing to a better future.

Dewpoint Group engages with our clients and workers to understand their needs and have a focused, professional approach to deliver practical outcomes, as well as empowering our workers to understand sustainability and how they can contribute positively to it.

The objective of this policy is to raise awareness of environmental impacts and what can be done as an organisation to ensure we have a minimal impact on the environment.

Everyone who works for Dewpoint, as well as anyone with whom Dewpoint engages during business, must ensure they conduct work within the current Environmental Laws and strive to use products that are at the forefront of sustainable practices.

Dewpoint will take disciplinary action against anyone who is found to be in breach of this policy.

Responsibility

1. Environmental Responsibility
We are committed to minimizing our environmental footprint by:

• Reducing greenhouse gas emissions through energy-efficient HVAC designs and installations.
• Utilizing environmentally friendly refrigerants that comply with the Australian Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse
• Gas Management Act 1989.
• Managing waste responsibly by recycling materials and minimizing landfill disposal.
• Ensuring compliance with AS/NZS 14001:2016 for environmental management practices.

2. Energy Efficiency and Innovation
We prioritize energy efficiency in our projects by:

• Designing and installing HVAC systems that meet or exceed the Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) set by Australian law.
• Incorporating smart technologies where feasible.
• Encouraging the use of renewable energy sources where feasible.

3. Sustainable Procurement
We are committed to responsible sourcing by, where feasible:

• Partnering with suppliers that adhere to sustainable and ethical production practices.
• Preferring materials and equipment with lower environmental impact and high energy efficiency ratings.
• Promoting the use of recycled and recyclable materials in our construction projects.

4. Compliance and Continuous Improvement
We endeavour to ensure our sustainability initiatives remain effective by:

• Regularly reviewing and updating our policies in line with Australian Standards and environmental regulations.
• Providing training to our staff and contractors on best sustainability practices.
• Monitoring and evaluating the environmental impact of our operations and striving for continuous improvement.

• Engaging with local communities to promote sustainable development.
• Working closely with clients to implement HVAC solutions that align with their sustainability goals.
• Encouraging feedback from stakeholders to enhance our sustainability efforts.

This policy applies to all Dewpoint work sites and all employees and subcontractors; it is regularly communicated to all employees and subcontractors, is available to any interested party upon request and is reviewed annually for its on-going suitability.

This policy is reviewed annually or after any incident to ensure compliance with the Environmental Laws and evolving best practices.
