The Heritage Precinct, Herston Quarter, Qld

Dewpoint Group has come to the end of stages 5 & 6 of the Herston Quarter’s $1.1 Billion redevelopment.  We have been engaged by Hutchinson’s Builders on this project since 2020.

The majority of the Herston Precinct is heritage listed and registered on the “Qld Heritage list”. The buildings we worked on are, “the Edith Cavell Building” built in 1922, and  “the Lady Lamington Towers (Nurses Home)” built between 1896 & 1939.

The Lady Lamington Towers will house 695 students and is the centre piece of the Herston Quarter, while the Edith Cavell Building has been transformed in to high quality commercial office space.

The precinct integrates health & wellbeing, balancing purposeful activity with a lifestyle focus and building a thriving sense of local community.

The project was delivered under a design and construct arrangement with the new mechanical services being fully integrated into the historical features of the building.
